With 285 senior La Liga and Segunda division appearances to his credit, including 16 goals, the 185cm defender will be an imposing force in the Hyundai A-League.

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said that the quality of players filling the foreign quota for the Club this season should add to the fans anticipation for the upcoming Hyundai A-League.

“Alberto is a fine defender, has had a very good career in Spain and like Dimas and Andreu will join the Wanderers with a new challenge in front of him which I am sure he will embrace,” said Tsatsimas.

“We have worked very hard behind-the-scenes to ensure that our squad will be well prepared for the coming season and from a recruitment perspective we have a very exciting and hungry group of players preparing for our Hyundai A-League season and the upcoming Westfield FFA Cup.”

Alberto will join the Club later this week.

The Western Sydney Wanderers host Brisbane Roar in the Westfield FFA Cup at Pepper Stadium, Penrith, on Tuesday 11 August. Kick-off to the Round of 32 fixture is 7:30pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports.
