Wanderers cook from the Heart

For the third year running, the Western Sydney Wanderers have headed to Ronald McDonald House in Westmead to cook up a storm in their Meals From The Heart Program.

Wanderers Brendon Santalab, Jonathon Aspropotamitis, Alix Roberts and Katelyn Leadbetter, along with Wanderers staff, headed to the house on Monday night to prepare dinner for some of the families that are staying at the house.

Most of us take a home-cooked meal for granted and the Meals From The Heart Program provides a much-needed service to families who are supporting their sick kids and often don’t have the time, funds or energy to prepare a healthy home-cooked meal.

This Saturday is Ronald McDonald House in Westmead’s annual match, which aims to support the house and thank them for their incredible work in keeping families together.

The Red & Black will also be part of Australia’s largest national fundraiser, McHappy Day.

A portion of the proceeds from every Big Mac purchase on Saturday 14 October goes towards keeping families with sick kids together.

You can also purchase a pair of red and white Ronald McDonald socks to show your support as Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia looks to build on the $3.95 million that was raised last year.
