Kamau is set to play in his third season for the Wanderers and will be looking to build on his 41 appearances for the club in the A-League.
The 25-year-old had a strong season with the Red & Black in the 2019/20, impressing in his performances during the last campaign whether in defence or attack.
Kamau said he was delighted to be back with the Wanderers for another season.
“I’m very happy to be back at the Wanderers for another season and can’t wait to get started with the boys,” said Kamau.
“I spoke with Carl (head coach Carl Robinson) and everything he said fits into the way I want to play football and all the boys I’ve spoken to have had great reviews on their time with him so far so I’m very excited to get to work with him.
“I’ve got a lot of goals for myself this season, I’d like to play some good football higher up the pitch, score some goals and get some assists, helping the team in any way that I can.
“As a team, we want to challenge for silverware and win something this season.”
