Mamre Anglican School and Westfield Sports High School will grace the field of ANZ Stadium following the Wanderers Hyundai A-League match this Saturday to play in the Wanderers Schools Cup Grand Final.

Mamre’s journey to the Grand Final saw them play in the Nepean Regional rounds in May, progressing to the finals series where they took on Bossley Park. After a confident 2-0 victory, Mamre advanced to the 2017 Wanderers Schools Cup Grand Final.

Westfield Sports High School topped the Southern Districts Regional rounds and defeated John Terry in the Finals Series to qualify.

Both schools have had a sound reputation for high-quality football programs but have been tested in this year’s Finals Series due to an increase in football participation in Western Sydney.

The 2017 Wanderers Schools Cup had the highest number of participants in Wanderers history with 3000 boys and girls taking part from 60 different schools in Western Sydney.

Registrations for the 2018 Schools Cup open February.
