Wanderers set to bounce back in Adelaide

The Western Sydney Wanderers Westfield W-League squad will be look to continue their push for a finals berth when they travel to South Australia to take on Adelaide United this Saturday night at 8:00pm.

Sitting in sixth spot and just four points adrfit of fourth place, the Red & Black will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 loss against Brisbane Roar last week. 

Rich Byrne has named two new players to an extended squad with veteran Joey Burgess returning from injury and Eliza Ammendolia promoted to the side.

Wanderer Katie Stengel, who is currently ranked fourth in the 2016/17 Westfield W-League Golden Boot race, has been a stand out performer for the Wanderers this season and will again be the focal point of the Red & Black attack.

Adelaide, who currently sit bottom of the ladder, faced Canberra United last round and shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

On both occasions in the match, the Reds fought back and levelled the score with Sofia Huerta scoring a double. 

The Wanderers and United have already met this season, with the Red & Black picking up their first home win of the campaign with 2-1 victory in Round 3.
