Wanderers sign trio of young guns

W-League young guns

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signings of Aideen Keane, Isabel Gomez and Sarah Hunter for the upcoming Westfield W-League 2020/21 season.

The trio recently played for Football NSW Institute in the National Premier League Women’s (NPL Women’s) this season are set for their first stint in the W-League competition.

Keane is a current Young Matilda and was part of the sides AFC U-19 Women’s Championship campaign last year. 

The midfielder featured in seven matches and scored nine goals for the Institute this NPL Women’s this season.

Hunter and Gomez had also consistently featured in the midfield for the Institute playing in 11 matches each.

Head coach Dean Heffernan was pleased to have signed the trio this season.

“We’re very excited to have Aideen, Isabel and Sarah with us this season and are looking forward to helping them further developing at the Wanderers,” said Heffernan.

“The countdown is now on until the start of the season on Sunday 27 December at Bankwest Stadium.”
