Part of the Western Sydney Wanderers’ mission since the club’s inception has been to support local grassroots clubs and their associations.

Recently, the Macarthur Football Association held their Premiers Presentation Night which saw Eschol Park Under 15s Boys and Narellan Rangers Under 16s Girls take home silverware from the night.

Brendon Santalab and Andreu were in attendance to celebrate the achievements of the young footballers and give them a chance to meet their heroes.

The players were given the opportunity during the night’s festivities to hold the Premiers and Champions trophy that all clubs strive to win at the end of the Macarthur Associations season.

Clubs were presented with the giant trophy whilst individuals received their own trophy to take home at the conclusion of the night.

For the Macarthur Association and General Manager Glenn Armstrong it is very important for clubs like the Western Sydney Wanderers to attend events and support grassroots clubs.

“It’s fantastic, I know all the kids got a tremendous kick out of having them there.

“I know Brendon and Andreu were swamped with kids asking for photos and getting them to sign things.

“It’s a wonderful synergy between the Wanderers and their associations,” he said.
