The Western Sydney Wanderers will be out at a number of community events and activations this week to support and celebrate NAIDOC week. 

The Western Sydney Wanderers will be out at a number of community events and activations this week to support and celebrate NAIDOC week. 

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia between the 8th and 15th of July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. 

This year’s theme is “Because of Her, We Can!”, celebrating the role that Indigenous women have played, and continue to play, in the community, local, state and national levels. 

The Wanderers will be attending the below events to support and celebrate the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

NAIDOC Family Fun Day, Steel Street Marrickville

AbSec and ACSA have joined forces to host a NAIDOC Week Family Fun Day and will have a free BBQ lunch, the Wanderers dribble zone, arts and crafts, face-painting, a DJ and fairy floss all available on the day.

Fun 3 Kids ‘Winter Wonderland’ Cumberland Council, Paton Street Merrylands

‘Fun 4 Kids’ is a free school holiday event for toddlers and children of Cumberland. This event is held throughout the year at different locations across Cumberland and this week will be celebrating NAIDOC Week.

The Wanderers will be supporting NAIDOC in the City on Saturday and will be setting up the Wanderers dribble zone in Hyde Park.
