Tony Popovic and Michael Beauchamp face the media ahead of the Round of 16 match with Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Be there for the Wanderers final match of the season as the Red and Black look to qualify for the AFC Champions League Quarter Finals.

The Round of 16 second leg also doubles as Shinji Ono’s final match for Western Sydney Wanderers as they host Sanfrecce Hiroshima at Parramatta Stadium on Wednesday night.

With Sanfrecce winning the first leg of the Round of 16 3-1, the Wanderers away goal could turn out to be crucial as a 2-0 win in tomorrow-s return leg will see the Red and Black qualify.

Head Coach Tony Popovic said that the team was well prepared and ready to add another highlight to the Club-s history.

“It-s been a very good year and the players have shown in training since they came back from Japan that they are looking forward to this game and we have the belief that we can go through,” said Popovic.

“We still have a few things to assess but whoever gets selected tomorrow night will be well prepared and go in with a mindset that we can win this tie.”

The Wanderers had a very strong first half in Hiroshima and with positive signs throughout the week Popovic said that the squad is full of confidence.

“The away goal was crucial for us and we know in front of our home fans, who will turn out in big numbers again, that we have a very good record here at home,” explained Popovic.

“We have a lot of respect for our opponents as J-League Champions for the last two years but as a Round of 16 match it-s supposed to be difficult and we know that but it will be difficult for them as well.”

Tickets are still available and can be purchased online or at the gate. Kick-off is at 7:30pm with gates open at 6pm.
