Monday Member Thank You

To thank our Members for being part of the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers family and to celebrate the upcoming Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season we hosted a Members Thank You Day and Season Launch on Monday at Wanderland.

As well as a thank you, the day was an opportunity for Members to pick up their membership packs and be introduced to the Hyundai A-League, Westfield W-League, Foxtel Youth League and Powerchair players.

With over 4,000 Members attending, the day was a success with the Hyundai A-League squad putting in another hard working shift at training in preparation for the season kick-off, before players from all four squads enjoyed themselves signing autographs, posing for photos and meeting fans.

Tuesday A-League launch

Michael Beauchamp, Shinji Ono and Tahj Minniecon were at Allianz Stadium on Tuesday to promote the launch of the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season along with players from all nine other Clubs.

Our marquee man Shinji was featured in the latest edition of FourFourTwo magazine which included an in depth questions & answer with the Japanese master.

Thursday FC

Youssouf Hersi was the first ever guest when SBS2 launched their new television show Thursday FC. Hosted by Lucy Zelic, David Zdrilic and Matt Okine, Our Dutch import was introduced to the Harlem Globetrotters to learn some new moves and had a Q&A with the hosts.

Earlier in the day new Westfield W-League signing Kyah Simon filmed an upcoming epidode of SBS program Living Black at the Wanderers training base in Blacktown.

This week also saw a new partner announced with Primo Smallgoods coming on board as a back-of-short sponsor.

And finally, the Western Sydney Wanderers were proud to announce the signing of Westfield Matildas vice-captain Emily van Egmond for the upcoming Westfield W-League 2013/14 Season. At 20, Emily has already scored at the FIFA Women-s World Cup and attended countless international tournaments for her country at all age levels. Emily is about to head off with six other Wanderers players to face the USA Women-s National Team next week in the US.
