The Western Sydney Wanderers are set to open the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season on Thursday 8 October with a match against Brisbane Roar.

While the changes have been ringing in at the Roar since the 2014/15 season, the most notable was a shift in management seeing John Aloisi take the reins at the club.

The last meeting between these two sides took place up at Suncorp Stadium with our re-scheduled Round 11 match played in mid-March with the fixture seeing the Red & Black defeat the Roar 4-1.

Following the opener, the Wanderers will embark on their first away game taking on Josep Gombau and his men from Adelaide United on the following Friday.

Anticipation will be building a week later for the Derby that divides East from West. The 10th installment of the Sydney Derby is set to take place in Moore Park in Round 3 with the other derbies played in Round 15 in Wanderland and Round 20 back in the inner east of Sydney.

The team will then return back to the West to take on Perth Glory at home with an exciting home and away fixture schedule around the Christmas period to follow.

In one of the bigger clashes of the season, the Wanderers will play at home against the Melbourne Victory for the first time in Round 10.

The Wanderers last match of the regular season sees them travel across the ditch to New Zealand to play against Wellington Phoenix in their only Wellington away fixture on April 10.
