The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers are set to take on Bentleigh Greens in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 tonight at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex.
The match will be broadcast live and exclusive on FOX SPORTS 505, with coverage beginning at 7:00pm.
The Red & Black will be heading into the match fresh and in good spirits after their week-long training camp on the Gold Coast which was wrapped up with a 4-0 friendly victory over Brisbane Roar.
Head coach Tony Popovic will be without marquee Álvaro Cejudo who has been struck down with a virus.
New signing Raúl Llorente will also miss out after only arriving over the weekend from Greek side Platanias FC.
Bentleigh will be coming into the game full of confidence after defeating Green Gully 4-0 in the NPL Elimination Final on Friday night.
The 2014 Westfield FFA Cup Semi Finalists are known for their attacking prowess with players like Andy Brennan and Matt Thurtell scoring 11 goals between themselves during this Westfield FFA Cup campaign.
The Wanderers could also line up against a familiar face with former Wanderer Nick Ward expected to take to the field.
Bentleigh’s squad also features players with Hyundai A-League experience with Chris Lucas and Luke Pikington having had stints at Gold Coast United and Melbourne Victory.
A win in tonight’s match would see the Wanderers progress to the Quarter Finals of the Westfield FFA Cup, a feat they achieved in last year’s tournament.
