The Wanderers inaugural Westfield W-League squad has today been named by Coach Stephen Roche.
The side travel to Adelaide to take on Adelaide United on Saturday with kick-off at 2.00pm.
Roche is extremely happy with the squad and looking forward to the season ahead.
“I had a pretty good idea of what was out there and in a way it was good for me that I had no other choice but to get straight into and start building a squad,” Roche said. “I think we-ve come up with a good balance of youth and experience, we have a few internationals and have selected a leadership group so we are well prepared I feel.”
Former Matilda Sarah Walsh has been appointed Captain of the side after the squad voted her the most suitable woman for the role.
The inaugural Westfield W-League squad to travel to Adelaide is as follows:
