Wanderers Westfield W-League Captain Sarah Walsh can-t wait to take to the pitch this Saturday afternoon in the first ever Sydney Derby in the W-League.

Walsh believes that after the disappointment of a round one loss to Adelaide the Wanderers girls will be primed and ready for the challenge against one of the competitions heavyweights.

“It was disappointing (last week) but you learn from experiences such as those so we will get better,” Walsh said. “We were up 3-1 at half-time which makes it worse but we literally switched off for 10 minutes and it cost us dearly.”

The former Matilda has no ill feeling towards Sydney FC after leaving them to join the Wanderers but can-t wait to catch up with a lot of old team mates.

“I saw a few of them today and we had a joke around but come Saturday I-ll be wearing Wanderers colours and doing my best for us.

“Sydney FC have always been a team that is expected to do well and it-s not something you really notice when you play for them but we-ll be going out there to give them a good run for their money.”

Coach Stephen Roche named his squad today for the clash which is follows:
