NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers FC are proud to officially announce their partnership with Whitelion to help support the great work they are doing to support and motivate disadvantaged youth.
Whitelion is a national non-profit community organisation that supports at-risk young people aged 12-25 years who have been identified as highly vulnerable to social exclusion, and involvement in anti-social and/or offending behaviour.
“The support the Wanderers are giving us is real and will greatly help our ability to help get the youths we support to achieve their goals of moving productively forward with their lives,” said State Manager of Whitelion Anna Jenko.
“It is great to work with an organisation that truly cares.”
Wanderers Community Manager Tim Thorne echoed the sentiments of Whitelion.
“Our mandate as a club is to make a difference in the Western Sydney community and this is our first step to making this happen,” he said.
“Whitelion are a great organisation doing wonderful things and we are proud to support them.”
The partnership with Whitelion is the first stage of the Wanderers ‘Wander-Act’ initiative which will help Western Sydney move forward to an even more positive future.
Wynston the Wanderer has joined our Community team in ‘Bail Out’ – a Whitelion event which looks to promote awareness.
The team needs to raise funds to get out of jail or they’ll be forced to stay overnight.
