Patrick Ziegler

The 29-year-old towering defender joined the Red & Black last season after an extensive career in Germany, which saw him play for clubs such as SpvVgg Unterhaching, Paderborn 07 and more recently, 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Ziegler featured in over 130 matches across the first two divisions of the Bundesliga. Unfortunately, a knee injury marred his first season with the Wanderers, restricting the defender to just six games. Ziegler has a strong connection to Australia with his father having been born and raised in Adelaide before his parents decided to move to Germany on a full time basis.
