Sam Staab

Playing overseas in Australia for the very first time in her young career, Sam Staab is ready to make history with the Red & Black. Staab was the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NWSL College Draft, joining alongside Washington Spirit after a four-year long campaign with Clemson University. Since making her debut for Spirit, Staab is the second rookie in NWSL history to play in every minute of every single match this season. A threat also at the back, Staab recorded a goal and an assist, playing an integral role in all nine of Spirits’ clean sheets.
